The drive from the Ntwetwe Pans to Maun takes around 3 hours and covers roughly 200 to 250 kilometres, depending on your camp of departure and the road conditions. Leaving the vast salt pans behind, the scenery slowly shifts from desert grasslands to mopane woodland and lush bush landscapes as you approach Maun. Along the way, you may pass small rural settlements, wandering donkeys and the occasional elephant or antelope near the side of the road- because in Botswana, even transfers come with wildlife sightings.
